The Drunken Laboratory started as an after school program exciting disadvantaged students into the incredible world of science . The founder Cautney Nelson started this nonprofit, Millennial Scnce, in March of 2019 after quitting her job as a Patient Coordinator. Millennial Scnce allowed her to teach minority students through STEM focused programs. Children & adults loved the programs Cautney curated and she sought to reach an older crowd of science lovers in an innovative way. In October of 2019, “Scnce & Sip’ was born where Cautney developed the idea to create an experience where adults could conduct outlandish experiments while sipping drinks with their friends. The idea stuck but not the name. Listed on Groupon on November 25th, 2019 the voucher for guests to get in on the experience was live but did not attract any guests. With the birth of the new name “The Drunken Laboratory” caught customers attention and sold out in 2 weeks without any location.
